Hi everyone! In the wake of my latest post, I just want to clarify some areas regarding my current lifestyle for those who are interested. I did touch on this subject in my last update video, and obviously this is a personal matter, however I have received some questions and I thought I would clear the air here.
Am I vegan? I do follow a totally plant based diet yes, but no I am technically not “vegan” in terms of other aspects such as clothing or lifestyle, and I do not refer to myself as such. I do not own hundreds of leather shoes and bags, but the fact that I do choose to wear the ones I have, disqualifies me from being vegan. I respect everyone, vegan or not, and I understand that not one particular lifestyle suits everyone. As I am constantly learning, experiencing and developing, I will naturally change and adapt different areas of my life as I find suit me best at that time. My channel and social media will naturally grow with me. My goal has always been to promote self love and share parts of my life with you that I feel could benefit and empower someone, make someone feel good or more confident and happy through posts about health, beauty, food, positivity etc..
As much as I am happy that people find my story inspiring, I am not perfect. I am on my own journey and I can only do what I think is best for me at the time. I can only be my authentic self. Some people will not agree with me or my choices and that is ok, but I can't bend and adjust simply to please people. I understand we are all different, and when you put yourself on the internet, there are bound to be people who do not agree with you. That is ok and it comes as part of the package. Even when I was doing mostly health and natural related content, I was still being heavily criticized and judged. You can never please everyone at the same time. I never force anyone to watch my videos, if someone doesn't enjoy my content they don't have to watch it.
Was my Chanel bag sponsored? No. Was the bag worth $5,000? No. Please don’t believe everything you see online. There are some people who will do anything for fame and attention, who will bully people and create hateful content about them, and I will never support that. Being “vegan” means to practice compassion. Calling yourself a “vegan” yet spreading hate and animosity is very contradictory. What you say about others says more about you than them. Thankfully I am strong and I do not let negativity get to me easily, however there are many people out there who suffer really bad from cyberbullying. Please think before you speak.
I am the last person to engage in drama or let an argument escalate below a photo or video I post. Thank you to everyone who stands up for me, however If I see comments that are hateful or abusive, the person will be blocked and comment removed. I have no tolerance or patience for bullying, drama or negativity, especially under my own content. I do not have control of what other people do, but I can control my own space, and I aim to always keep it positive and helpful.
In terms of diet, a whole food plant based diet does my body really good. I love learning about nutrition and have always been interested in health and lifestyle, it is one of my biggest passions. I am so happy to see so many of you benefiting from this diet as well, that seriously makes me so happy. Whether that means including one plant based meal into your diet per day or going 100%, we are all on our own paths. I am also a huge believer in being kind, positive and helpful, not only for other peoples well being but for your own.
