Banish Bullying Together

Hi everyone! I want to let you guys know about a new bullying prevention campaign which I’m really excited for, called Banish Bullying. The makers of Epiduo® (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) Gel 0.1%/2.5% are partnering with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center on this program, which is promoted in Seventeen magazine. I love that all of these organizations are coming together and getting involved in the prevention of bullying– good job all!

Through the Banish Bullying campaign, teens are encouraged to share their thoughts on how even just a small gesture, can have a big impact on the prevention of bullying amongst their peers. I remember being in high school and seeing classmates get picked on, they might have jokingly brushed it off, but you could tell it upset them. I’d always try to make a positive remark to them – just a little “pick me up”. It may not seem like a lot, but a little compliment can really turn someone’s day around, especially if they’re feeling low about themselves. Supporting the good people around you is so important.

If you, or any of your peers have been affected by bullying, visit www.seventeen.com/banishbullying and share a tip on how you would handle a bullying situation for a chance to win $5,000 for your school!

For all of those who have been affected by any form of bullying, and it’s affected your self-esteem, just remember how amazing you are, and that bullies pick on others because of their own insecurities. Stick up for yourself and your friends. Always focus on YOU and the people who love you and forget the rest.

I hope you found this post helpful! Keep being amazing my loves! XOXO

  1. Great job honey! You're a great inspiration, THANK YOU annie :)

  2. I am really happy to see that you are part of such amazing projects. I recently started similar project on my own. Currently working to find sponsors to make it all happening. Our goal is to inform teens about mental violence in specific, because in Estonia, the lack of information is the biggest issue. We are co-working with another project which is meant to educate teachers. Currently another issue is teacher's indifference about bullying. Why I think that our project could be a success, as in helping to prevent even a little bit of violence, is because our group consists of people, who have gone through bullying. I have gone through it myself and this is why I am working on such a project, because I don't want other people to suffer mental abuse. :)

  3. I really like this post, it is great to you to talk about it!

  4. great job thanks for sharing
