Makeup Traveling Favorites!

Hi beautiful! I am back in Geneva visiting my family for a few days and wanted to show you the makeup I brought with me. I consider these my "staples" at the moment, the products I tend to reach for the most. It's been so hot here though I really haven't felt like wearing anything. I usually apply a lightweight mineral powder, blush and a hint of bronzer, some mascara and I'm out the door :)

Physician's Formula Blush in "Rose" You guys have probably seen me using this blush most of the time in my videos. I love everything about it, from the girly semi-shimmery pink color, to the packaging and even the smell of it (it smells fruity!)

NARS Bronzer in "Casino" This is my new favorite bronzer. I got a sample of the Laguna one at Sephora a few months ago and loved the quality. I decided to buy it after testing it out, then came across the "Casino" version in the store which is a few shades darker, perfect for girls with darker skin tone. It's also not 100% matte, which is nice for the summer as it gives you a little glow. Love it.

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15 I've been trying out this powder for the past few days hoping it will be a keeper! I heard amazing things about it, especially for people with oily sensitive acne prone skin. It gives a nice luminous finish to the skin, even though it's a powder so I do like that. Need to try it a few more times to get a good opinion, but so far so good.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder This is a great product for just a few dollars at the drugstore. A summer must have if you have oily skin. Love patting this in my t-zone to minimize shine.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finishes in Medium and Medium Deep These powders are two staples in my collection. I always find myself reaching for them. I love the texture and finish of these powders, they're ultra soft and blendable. I use the lighter shade for the inner part of my face, and the darker one on the outer and blend together.

Naked 2 Palette, Urban Decay Love these eyeshadows! The quality is great, colors are super wearable and I can create so many looks with just one palette. I do wish this palette had the color "Naked" in it from the first one but I can live with it. "Tease" works just as well, and I do enjoy the mauve undertone. The shimmery colors also look amazing when applied with a wet brush. Gives it an ultra glam look. Love love love this palette!

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo "Medium Ash" I have been using this product for years and years. I'm very happy with it. Will keep repurchasing!

Great Lash Mascara in Clear This is great for setting your brows. I don't believe in high end brow gels, it's basically clear mascara, don't be fooled. You can find this at the drugstore for around $5.50. Works really well, especially if you're hair is down and might flick your brow hairs out of place eg. a night out dancing :)

L'Oreal Smoldering Eyeliner Great for applying in the water line as it glides on really soft and is long lasting.

Urban Decay Shadow Primer I don't know what I did before eyeshadow primer came along! I remember always getting these horrible creases in my eyeshadow, especially when it was hot. I used to just wipe the shadow off and call it a day lol. However, now I don't apply shadow without it. Many brands make them, however I've only tried this one and I have no complaints, just a great product to have if your lids crease!

Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara Ahh this is the best!! Seriously gives me ultra big, false looking lashes. It's super black and has a great brush. Love you mascara.

♥ 24/7 Liquid Liner, Urban Decay This has an ultra fine tip, so if you're a beginner with liner beware as it might be really tricky. If you've gotten the hang of liquid liners, definitely give this a try. It's great for creating a perfect fine flick when doing cat eyes. I also love the semi glossy finish.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss "Crystal Lilac" & "Bellini" Such pretty shades! I am not one for lipglosses, unless my hair is up and back in a pony or a bun. Not cool getting hair stuck on your lips. This lipgloss however is not sticky! Surprised at the great quality and nice color pay off for a drugstore brand. Two thumbs up.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in "Sao Paulo" This is a gorgeous berry shade and I love the textures of these NYX lip cremes. I have two others ("Amsterdam - a gorgeous red and "Antwerp" - a nice coral shade) and I reach for them often. They feel nice and clean on your lips, as if there's nothing there. Do remember to touch up once in a while since your lips may get dry and form a white line on the sides of your lips.

So that's pretty much everything I brought with me in my makeup bag on this trip! You might have seen these products a few times before, but that's just cause they're my favorite :)

What are some of your staples?? I would love to know below in the comments! XOXO

  1. Hi Annie!
Omg I love love love the Naked 2 palette! Its like a-maz-ing! Mac blush in desert rose, revlon lip glosses are amazing too! And nyx soft matte lip cremes as well...except yeah it kind of dries up your lips but no worries :P
I hope you have fun in Geneva! Cant wait for more videos on your channel! I loved the neutral eyes and big hair video! definitively doing that for when i have to go back to school :P
thanks for much for everything! You are such an inspiration! haha im drinking a big cup of hot, fresh, green tea right now... :) so yummy!

  2. My staples are the naked 2 palette, maybelline falsies mascara, & mac mineralize skin finish in soft & gentle! :)

  3. This post was great, Annie! I like how you broke each product down and explained what you liked about it/how you used it. Very helpful! I really want to try those Revlon lipglosses, as I'm not really a lipgloss girl, either.

I also love the Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara, have been using it for over a year... Sometimes I switch it up and go for my Mally Volumizing Mascara, but I usually always reach for the Clinique one. One of my staples currently for liquid liner is Maybelline's Master Precise liner. It's soooo easy to use, perfect for beginners! The staying power is very nice too, when used with a primer.

I think it would also be great if you did a post similar to this one that focused on your staple makeup brushes. I am somewhat new to using brushes, so I think this would be super helpful! Thanks!

  4. Hi Annie! Which do you like better? the Naked palette or the Naked 2 palette?

  5. I really like to take the NYX Soft matte lip creme with me while i travel. Normally i don't take that much of make-up with me, just because i don't were that much on vacation :-P. Just only mascara and foundation and blush.
Please check out my newest youtube video and tell me what you think <33

  6. I can't live without BB Cream by Garnier. It works wonders for a flawless finish and it's inexpensive. I also love MAC lipstick... If you can think of a fun pink shade that will work for a darker skin tone, please let me know! Thanks! Have a great trip :0)

  7. Please do more fashon posts :) Love your style!!! :D

  8. Hi Annie, please make a few pictures of Geneva, that would be so awesome to see how it is like over there! :) xoxo

  9. Most of the ones you mentioned (Naked2, UD Primer, MAC Skinfinish) except these added...NARS blush in Orgasm, DiorShow BlackOut, L'Oreal High Intensity Pigment Eyeshadows, Victoria's Secret Luminous Cheek & Face Highlighter, L'oreal Visible Lift Oil-Free Coverup, MAC Select Moisturecover, Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer, Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzer.

I was looking into purchasing the Anastasia Eye Brow Duo (expensive). So far, I have been using a light brown mineral eyeliner pencil to color in the spots.

  10. Wow, you sure travel a lot. That's awesome! How do you finance all that?

  11. OMG you're in Switzerland? Not doing a meet-up I guess :/ would be great to meet you!

  12. I love traveling with my MAC MSF and Naked 2 Palette also! I also like traveling with the Maybelline Color Tattoo in "bad to the bronze" and NARS orgasm blush. I swear by L'oreal Voluminous mascara! I want to pick up the Rimmel Stay Matte powder after seeing you use it so much! Might have to try that Clinique mascara too!

    xoxo, Mallory

  13. Wow you sure do travel a lot. How to you finance all of it?

  14. Hi Annie,
I am going on my first trip in a long while and only recently started to wear makeup on a regular basis. This will be my first trip having to consider what makeup I'll bring and such. I think I shall be taking my z-palette along with me because it has several eye shadows and blushes in it. Thank you for your post!
